About Us

Cathedral Primary School is a located within the heart of Bristol surrounded by cultural and historical attractions.

Cathedral Primary School opened in September 2013 and now acts as a feeder school to Bristol Cathedral Choir School on the adjacent site. Our main school building is located on College Square, in the lower levels of the historic Bristol Central Library.

Our beautiful Grade I listed building is currently undergoing some necessary repair work. As such, for the 23/24 academic year we will be operating as a split site school. EYFS and Year One children are now based at a separate location, known as the Brandon Hill Site, located nearby on Queens Parade. Children in Years Two to Six continue to be based in the main school building.

We are very proud of the relationship with Bristol Cathedral Choir School, our sister secondary school, and all the musical tradition and achievements, actively nurturing an appreciation of all genres of music among our children.

Cathedral Primary School also benefits from the vast amount of space at Failand Sports Ground which is used to develop Athletic and Games skills and the woodland areas have been developed for Forest School activities.

Since opening in September 2013 we have welcomed a new co-hort of children each year. From September 2016 we became a two form entry school. We have a wonderful mix of social and cultural backgrounds represented in our school which we highly value. We actively seek opportunities to celebrate our diverse community, city and world we live in.
